This is a partial image from a larger painting in the Ancient Souls series. This series is about the belief of the "Ancients" (sometimes referred to incorrectly as the "Anasazi") that when we die - our Souls become flowers - butterflies - hummingbirds,etc. It is also a part of the belief structure of the present day people who are called Hopi. I have attempted to offer the essential "spirit" of the concept and not a literal interpretation of a sacred belief.
